Trump has been doing crimes his whole life. Tax fraud. Charity fraud. Money laundering. God knows what else. (Try Rape)
Once Trump is out of office the cuffs will most likely go on.

(3,492 posts)Unfortunately, only the impeachment is going to happen and he may very well win a second term. The senate is never going to convict him no matter what and the statute of limitations runs out on everything he could be prosecuted for in 2022. I hate to be a defeatist but there isnt anything to stop these people from scoffing at the laws.
I dont think people truly understand the danger were in. These traitors have done so much damage already, the country simply will not survive a second term.

The biggest question facing Pelosi will be....will it be worth it?
*yes*

(10,272 posts)And fuck how they feel. They can react all they want, and if they get out of hand, we have a FBI (and then a standing army) to deal with them.

(9,670 posts)In the end, fuck how they feel. Fuck them if they revolt. We live by the rule of law, and even if their lawlessness is on a catastrophic scale, it cannot be excused or permitted. One half of the country cannot abide by the laws while the other half rules by fiat. The entire Republican message to their constituents (which is actually more of a Soviet message than a Republican one) is antithetical to the Constitution. If we cave or relent, they win, and democracy is flushed into the sewer.
Hence, *yes*.
