Impeachment of a president is a serious undertaking.

The Senate’s role is to act as an impartial jury and provide a fair trial.

Fair to the President and to the American people.

That means seeing all the evidence, documents and witnesses.

He's letting them know they will have to go on public record voting against bringing forth witnesses and documents. How do you think the vulnerable R senators are going to feel about that? Knowing that every nay vote will be a campaign commercial.

Ah, everyone here knows exactly what mcturtle, and every other repug is a afraid of.

They fear the truth.
