She allowed a predator onto the Supreme Court and she'll allow one to stay in the White House.

Make no mistake, Murkowski is an expert in the non-position-position. She allowed a predator onto the Supreme Court and she’ll allow one to stay in the White House. It’s what she does.

All that right wing, predator enabling fence sitting must hurt her arse, and her polling...

sometimes talk a good game of concern on a few issues.
I realize that Murkowski is technically an Independent but she caucuses with GOP.
AND SHE AND THE OTHERS almost always fold and follow their patriarchal repub overlords.
Sigh.

Rand Paul or Mitt Romney. I know Murkowski is a Republican and that label sticks but she did buck her party when she helped save Obamacare, and she bucks her party by being pro choice and by supporting Planned Parenthood.

Do I trust her? Absolutely not.

is being a bit disingenuous.

Murkowski did not allow a predator on The Supreme Court. She did not have the power to stop Kavanaugh’s confirmation. She didn’t vote for him. The “present” vote as not powerful as a “no” vote, but given the circumstances it did mean something.

Murkowski is a republican but she isn’t a Trumper. I wouldn’t be surprised if she didn’t vote for Trump. In fact, I would think it’s more likely she didn’t. Murkowski is a decent person and seems to know right from wrong. I am keeping an open mind with her and giving her a chance to do the right thing up until she doesn’t.

By voting present for the final vote. She also voted against advancing kavanaugh to the senate floor for confirmation. It was the best decision for her state’s interest as Alaska has unique challenges, and should be commended for her independence in thought and principles from her party whipped into line with the tRump cult.

I don’t see much benefit in flattening her record on this, as yet again, voting for what’s best for her state that is geographically close to Russia is a set of decisions unlike that of her, um, southern colleagues. She doesn’t have the luxury of the political insurance that comes from a sweetheart deal for a russian aluminum plant or cushy federal construction contracts like Moscow Mitch ensconced within the boundaries of the lower 48, etc.

I say her party should think pretty hard about her arguments and position, and I hope others follow her lead for doing what’s best for their constituents and the entire Country.
