Yes, it is technically legal but it represent moral corruption on a large scale. Money forces Twitter to selectively enforce their policy which opens them to discrimination charges. Facebook faces the same dilemma for the same reason - money. They sell their soul to the all mighty dollar.

It's his club that he uses to get his way.

He uses it to intimidate people--to call them names, to insult them, to embarrass them, to humiliate and denigrate them (although decent people know that it's the name caller who humiliates and denigrates himself). This is how he keeps people in line. Few people want to go through such nastiness in public.

This is how he is keeping the Senate in his camp. This is how he perverts the way democracy is supposed to work.

About 8 years ago I taught at a university where the president of the union was unprofessional like Trump. Her tactic was exactly like Trump's. She would call a person names, she would make up names, she would start rumors, etc. If you spoke up against her, she would even go so far as to work against you getting a decent course load. She would call up department heads and bad mouth union members--her own dues-paying members that she was supposed to be serving.

I and a few other union members organized against her and it was really hard to get people on board, even though they despised her tactics. This is why so many people stay in Trump's camp.

Get rid of his club (Twitter) and his power will crumble.
