At this gathering, everyone wears name tags, no matter how known or unknown you are. It brings everyone to the same level, and that is always a good thing.

(54,445 posts)He and I were talking and a woman came up and asked him what moved him to resign from the Senate. I think she meant something else and phrased it poorly. It came out like she had no clue what had happened. Al and I both stared open-mouthed at her, and Al looked at me and said, YOU tell her! and walked away. She realized what she had said, and remarked, that came out wrong.
I said I thought so, too, as she obviously DID know why he left the Senate.

I don't live in the USA, so no State Farm agent, but my Dallas dentist? Oh, yeah, I still see him when I'm back in Dallas, so I got a card from him.
