Trump seems to know what he is doing here in order to accomplish his mission for support of him, for himself, to do what he wants, i.e., be a tin pot dictator or a modern monarch. Of course, that is not acceptable to we The People, under any circumstances!
This outlandish form or conspiracy stuff is dangerous enough as it is, but when the Office of the President is used to support and spread it, it's a code red alarm for a country. It suggests that Trump is clearly on a path to usurp our government itself and subvert it towards his own interests that are contrary to the common will and the common good. That common will and good are what we all actually stand for and it is the essence of the foundation of our government.
I consider his endorsements as a key indicator of his true basis and intent. It is a political weather vane and the wind is blowing in the foul direction of despotism.
The presidents recent retweets have conspiracists in overdrive. Best case is were up getting a medal at the White House, one QAnon luminary gushed.
Donald Trump has used his Twitter account to blast his critics, pressure potential witnesses against him, and threaten to blow up North Korea. But for believers in the bizarre pro-Trump QAnon conspiracy theory, the presidents Twitter account serves a more crucial purpose, with his retweets of QAnon fans offering them badly-needed proof that their ludicrous conspiracy theory is real.
QAnon believers are convinced that Trump is secretly at war with pedophile-cannibals in the Democratic Party, a theory so unhinged and potent that the FBI considers it a potential source of domestic terrorism. Two QAnon believers have been charged with murders that appear to be motivated by their beliefs in the conspiracy theory, including the slaying of a Mafia boss, while others have committed vandalism or even shut down a bridge with an armored truck. Believers in the Pizzagate conspiracy theory, which has been incorporated into QAnon, fired shots and tried to burn down a Washington pizzeria.

(6,960 posts)I have a lot of Trumpican Facebook 'friends' and it is quite evident that in the past few days the general theme of the QAnon conspiracy theory has been mentioned more and more.
Especially the involvement of Hillary Clinton ... Trumpicans have got to be the most gullible people on the planet.

(82,849 posts)But like fanatical audiences the world over, they demand ever more bang for their buck. Trump has crossed over into very dangerous territory, but he doesn't care. He needs the slavering crowd, and the prospect of it turning into a mob doesn't bother him in the least. Trump truly is one of those people that just wants to watch the world burn.
