.... order the air strikes in Iraq on the supposedly Iranian aligned Iraqi faction? And how did the attack benefit Putin?

(14,837 posts)It destabilized the iraqi regime and made a perfect opportunity for protestors carrying iranian flags to "storm" the us embassy. Making us look even weaker and feckless on the international stage than we somehow are.
How were those protestors so effective? It's like they were organized, aided, and ready.
The embassy, the most secure on the planet, is in the green zone - a heavily fortified and patrolled area of the city. Nobody gets in without being screened and searched. Yet hundreds somehow got not only to the embassy, but atop it and inside it.
How the hell did that happen?

And doesn't instability in the mid east cause oil prices to rise? And who has a shitload of oil? Putin & the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia.
But in the end what about Hillary's emails?

(6,110 posts)because recently USA is producing more oil than is consumed in the country.
We are no longer subject to oil embargo threats from the middle-east.
I still remember empty gas stations back in the 1970's and I needed gas badly due to daily 70 mile round trip to work. But count on oil companies jacking up prices claiming shortage on world markets. Why should US gas prices go up when the cost of producing oil in USA remains the same?

(3,063 posts)Just like he did with Syria. IMO Putin's plan is to get US bases out of Iraq & humiliate us further.
