hang on just long enough to win in 2020 then let Pence take over. Trump resigns for health reasons and receives the sorrow pardon.

Only Trump is not going to win.

Trump knows what he's saying and doing, and so do those in his inner circle. Those people shouldn't get to plead that they were "just following orders from a crazy man" when it's their time in the barrel.

Party of personal responsibility and all that.

as one of the posters on that twitter thread pointed out, in his impaired condition how can he give the SOTU in February?

Yet another motive for Speaker Pelosi to have given the invite to red don--provide him with a very public platform to display the workings of his great brain in its current state. Hmmmmm, would be very interesting if he delivers a spasm- and glitch- filled speech.

Not that the maggots would care. Their cult leader could sit at the podium drooling and mumbling and they'd say he gave the greatest speech ever.

I’ve been following him ever since.

I went to the C-Span feed and saw the original. This is un-edited.

His mental problems are not grounds for impeachment. They should not be brought into the impeachment case at all. That would muddy the waters and give the GOP something to cry about. They'd say, and they would be right, that the Dems were not following the Constitution. There is whole amendment with the process to remove him for being unfit due to health reasons - including mental health.

Apparently "acting" Cabinet heads do not have a voting power.

So essentially that step cannot be completed, which means no 25th process.

and maybe more so, is the propping up of a mentally incompetent POTUS by his party solely to maintain power. It's a Republican pattern, as with Reagan and Bush II. Choose a guy who has popular appeal but is mentally deficient, to be the front man image. It's the only way to ger a candidate elected since they can't do it on their policies.
