60 Minutes investigates the death of Jeffrey Epstein

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/did-jeffrey-epstein-kill-himself-60-minutes-investigates-2020-01-05/

Jeffrey Epstein was a convicted sex offender and a wealthy financier with powerful friends. 60 Minutes examines the circumstances surrounding his death in a Manhattan federal jail cell. Warning: This report contains graphic images.

In July 2019, Jeffrey Epstein, already a convicted sex offender, was arrested and charged with sex trafficking by federal prosecutors. On August 10, Epstein was found dead in his federal jail cell at Manhattan's Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC).

The New York City Medical Examiner's Office ruled Epstein's death a suicide by hanging, but a forensic pathologist who observed the four-hour autopsy on behalf of Epstein's brother, Mark, tells 60 Minutes the evidence released so far points more to murder than suicide in his view. Dr. Michael Baden's key reason: the unusual fractures he saw in Epstein's neck.

"There were fractures of the left, the right thyroid cartilage and the left hyoid bone," Baden said. "I have never seen three fractures like this in a suicidal hanging."

"Going over a thousand jail hangings, suicides in the New York City state prisons over the past 40-50 years, no one had three fractures," Baden said.

I'm glad this is being looked into by serious journalists.

However the 60 minutes crime scene photos changed us a lot. My husband is a retired traffic homicide detective, we’re now more inline with the homicide camp. The lividity on the back, plus transporting a dead person in an ambulance is wrong. My husband believes the marks on the neck, don’t line up with the possible noose.

We’re not even talking about the hyoid bone breaks.

11. Yea, the mark on the neck he had was narrow and bleeding.

The supposed noose didn't seem to have any blood on it and appeared to be much too wide to make that narrow mark.
He was likely dead for two hours upon discovery. Protocols call for dead body to be left at the scene and scene be preserved as a crime scene. None of this happened here, he was transferred in the ambulance, as if it were possible to resurrect someone who has been dead for hours.

3. Wow, the NYC Medical Examiner's Office really should explain themselves

Thousands of jailhouse suicides over 40-50 years has Not shown 3 fractures. But this one does? We need more information and our paid representatives in the NYC Medical Examiner's Office should provide that information to us, the public.

Take into account that the lawyers of Epstein's estate are offering money to Epstein's victims if the victim Does NOT file suit.

10. He also had a very narrow ligature mark on his neck.

Looks like he was strangled with a narrow cord. In hanging, as was explained, it would be unusual to have a ligature mark as low as he had, because the noose would have moved up. The supposed noose also looked to be free of blood even though his ligature mark looked to be bleeding.
Camera was not working, guards were sleeping, he was supposed to have had a roommate but his roommate was removed and not replaced with a new one.

12. That's not the most outrageous limb to be on. With his wealth & band of "friends" wanting him gone.

It's a plausible hypothesis.

13. True dat. I got a friend- mail man in a rural town in Montana --- no traffic lights for 65 miles.

Elvis moved there in '79.

Epstein showed up there three weeks ago and tried to pal around with The King. But Elvis doesn't want anything to do with him. Says Eppy grew a beard and shaved his head so nobody would recognize him.

Jimmy hasn't seen Eppy for a couple of weeks and Elvis hasn't mentioned him either. So I guess he moved -- maybe to his island in the Caribbean.

Says Elvis is in good health considering his age...walks around town humming "Love Me, Tender" and some other stuff, like, "In The Ghetto." Voice is kinda rough when he speaks so singing probably ain't much good, either these days.

Says Elvis don't get much mail so if you send a card or somthin' "Elvis, C/O n.w. Montana, it will probably get to him. El would appreciate that.

Epstein didn't leave no forwarding address so Jim doesn't know if cards or letters would get to him or not.

--Hope this helps.
