Media are asking what's Trump's "strategy" in Iran- I'm more interested in PURPOSE.

What the hell, exactly, in the event that the conflict escalates, will we be trying to ACCOMPLISH?

Stopping further escalation and violence? By escalating further, and engaging in more violence?

Is there a larger, grand purpose that I'm missing here beyond jingoistic masturbation and bloodlust?
