(32,626 posts)that doesn't bode well for the coming storm. I'm in Western Ma, and it was certainly spring-like...high 50's, which is weird enough, but 70? We've still got some snow piles...I guess tomorrow we'll have rivers.

(15,041 posts)Skeptics will of course wonder what happened in those years and why we shouldn't believe the same conditions aren't at play today. In the totality of consideration, their skepticism fails. But still, it's a valid question . . . just as snowballs in January don't disprove global warming, neither do short pants prove it.

(63,221 posts)I am in a building where we can't control our heat (don't have to pay for it either) but I have the fan and even the AC on. The heat just doesn't go off and we don't need it at all. I know that my electric bill will be a bit higher than usual, but just can't bear it this warm.

(5,695 posts)Living in New England, one never needs to worry that we won't have at least two months of winter. The older I get, the more I hate the cold. But it's the one sacrifice I'm willing to make in order to live in an otherwise wonderful region.
