House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy suggested that Speaker Nancy Pelosi has been withholding the articles of impeachment to prevent Sen. Bernie Sanders and other White House hopefuls in the Senate from campaigning during the upcoming trial, The Hill reports.

Said McCarthy: “If there’s anyone who gained from this, it would be anybody who’s running for president that’s not in the U.S. Senate.”

McCarthy went on to say that Bernie Sanders “actually has a chance to win but not now that Nancy Pelosi has held these documents.”

that alienating Bernie's base from Democratic leadership will be a GOPthing. Plus assigning different motives to democratic actions to replace the truth with an "alternative facts" narrative will be a GOP thing. Remember this so you can explain these patterns to those you talk politics to.
