There were two missiles shot at the Ukrainian plane out of Tehran. That

is why so many people had their cell phones out and filming: they had heard the first missile hit and got out of bed and then caught the second on cell phone. CBC News. There is one bit of data that shows two missiles hitting the plane. Obviously people knew there was an Iran-Iraq-USA mini war going on so their cellphones would have been at the ready for emergencies and witnessing.

positively verified? These days it's hard to trust anything at face value.

I heard a guest on a France24 panel the other day say he has heard claims that the missile(s) were the result of a U.S. cyber attack. I guess the confession of the Iranian gov't would put that CT to rest.

computer internet experts investigating in real time what happened in Iran that night and calculating rocket trajectories and super imposing that on known topographical characteristics and military installations in Tehran. So it was not naive journalists looking at the cell phone data. It was world data experts. So i trust it. That being so, the video of the two rockets was the latest video to become known. Could Iran do a deep fake to try and poison the well- later to be proved fake? I suppose so. Look for cbc The National with Adrienne Arsenault reporting to see it.
