BROKEN: Kentucky Legislator Introduces Bill Prohibiting Rainbows

Rainbows to Be Prohibited, New Bill Says

State Representative Morgan LaFey today introduced a new bill which bans the display, "natural or artificial," of rainbows in the state of Kentucky. In a statement made this morning to the press, she said, "We don't like rainbows in Kentucky. They represent a depraved lifestyle that Kentuckians don't approve." She continued, "If God had intended for rainbows to appear, he would have created them."

Following the ensuing laughter from the gathered media representatives, she added, "God is not mocked, and neither should I be. We will not tolerate rainbows in Kentucky. We are a God-loving, God-fearing state!" She then stalked out of the room, obviously upset that the press had not taken her bill seriously.

You have a talent for it. Good satire is about things that are easy to believe even if the story is ludicrous.

This may make the news again. Wouldn't that be a hoot?

You can't expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you!
