Trumps administration is weighing whether to seek changes to a 1977 law that makes it illegal for U.S. companies to bribe foreign officials.
We are looking at it, White House Economic Adviser Larry Kudlow said at the White House on Friday, in response to a reporters question about the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.
I would just say: We are aware of it, we are looking at it, and weve heard complaints from some of our companies, Kudlow said. I dont want to say anything definitive policy-wise, but we are looking at it.
Its just so unfair that American companies arent allowed to pay bribes to get business overseas, Trump said, according to a passage published by the Post. Were going to change that.

I would be in favor of eliminating the FCPA, if only to get rid of the annual on-line stupid courseware that all employees of my company had to be sheep-dipped through. As if we had the money or position to bribe anyone, much less foreigners.
