gouging high taxes and red tape strangle legal marijuana in California...

effing stupid government officials failed economics 101 by imposing artificially high jacked up gouging prices in their attempts to have a monopoly on cannabis sales. anybody with a half a brain cell knows the cartels will always be able to underprice paper pushing bureaucrats.

I just emailed my assemblyman, Miguel Santiago, about this issue. I used to smoke more, then laid off for a while, and the last time I went to purchase week (about a week ago) I was shocked by the prices advertised on Weedmaps. The dispensaries I used to go to now sell top shelf sativas for around $60/eighth when they had been 20 cheaper just a couple years ago. It's absurd.

I finally found a good collective with good reviews that sold almost every eighth for $30--and they sell to other dispensaries who charge 15-20 more for it.
