Charlie Crist. Boyfriend!!

Ya know, this guy passed a test, a test given by one huge nonpartisan, intellectual friend of mine, whose opinions I really, really respect. According to him, "Crist is one of the remaining statesmen."

He never seemed to fit in with the current crop of Republicans. In fact, few people I know really fit in with them. This is not your papaw's Republican Party.

Democrats really need to welcome Rs like Crist. There are smart people like Dick Lugar out there who can still contribute to the national dialouge on some subjects, and Democrats should make them feel welcome. Wouldn't hurt to court a few of them, either.
