(58,785 posts)neither is Fox.
Be careful what you take in. "Information" you know to be biased or outright untrue is often stored as knowledge, same as what you know to be truth (both truth that actually is true and truth that is not). Before long, it's all recalled as information. Then you're in trouble because all new information is evaluated for truth against this frame of knowledge the brain holds for that purpose, and anything that agrees is accepted as true and all that conflicts is rejected as untrue.
That's how Fox viewers became self-made, unreachable nuts. GIGO.
I prefer to watch Stephanie Miller entertain me than Chris Matthews irritate me. My preference and I enjoyed it. We have the freedom to sift through information and choose what we digest. No lecture needed.

(58,785 posts)misinformation we're all wallowing in has done to the self-victimizers is genuinely scary. Of course, mental drugs feel good. If they didn't people wouldn't seek them out.
You're supposed to be an independent thinking person. Insist on truth and facts. And don't be tricked by wanting to believe into not noticing when factual support for statements is missing. That's when the red flags should go up and you're supposed to frown and question.
You have been warned. Bye.

(1,737 posts)Sometimes it just for entertainment, sometimes it's to gather facts. Having a variety of interests make life enjoyable. I choose not to be miserable.
"You have been warned"- sounds like something my mom would say... Ok, I have been warned, thanks

(10,014 posts)Both father and son. Despite some very credible lawyers saying Biden is irrelevant and a distraction from the impeachment of Trump, he just kept repeating his nonsense. He sure has the GOPs talking points memorized.

(14,832 posts)He didn't get on the not trump wagon until well after the election. When ratings forced it.
He still likes trump. You can hear it when he discusses trump's tactics.

(7,113 posts)First, Tweety barks back at the Control Room for telling him to wrap up, and then he gets really petulant with Keith for the way he apologized for keeping Steny Hoyer waiting.
KO remained an adult throughout.

(9,196 posts)(I no longer recall whether it was a primary night or an actual election night), Tweety began spouting off on his opinion of the day, and Olbermann tried to get him back on track. Tweety responded, "That's why we call it Hardball." Olbermann looked him in the eye and said, "This isn't Hardball. It's election coverage." Tweety visibly flinched.

(7,113 posts)Ari was anchoring a panel discussion during a break in the impeachment trial, and all MSNBC panelists were weighing in on the current impeachment-related topic, except Tweety. He tried to take the discussion off on a tangent hardly at all germane to the matter at hand.
So Ari chimed in with something along the lines of "We're getting a bit off topic," which of course ruffled Tweety's feathers. Nonetheless, Ari returned the discussion to the topic everyone was tuning in for -- the impeachment trial -- and away from Matthews' random reminiscences apropos of nothing.

Why not remind us Hillary has emails?

(314 posts)He should be removed because he interrupts constantly. I can never understand why people go on his show.

(86 posts)He's the only one in the MSNBC lineup I can't watch. No matter how important, knowledgeable or eloquent his guest is he constantly interrupts and talks over them. Rude and unwatchable.

(23,337 posts)he left the MSNBC lineup. Not ageism at all. He's very disrespectful to guests with the constant interrupting. He laughs at what he has called "antics" by the MF45 administration...I say this is wholly inappropriate. Today he is on a roll with the Biden thing. WTAF is he talking about? Good grief, he needs to be quiet.
