DeStefano is the aide that wrote to Sally Yates telling her Trump was firing her, so it makes sense that Trump would be commanding him to get rid of her.

What is interesting is that DeStefano didn't carry out that command. Yovoanovitch wasn't fired for more than a year. And the day she was fired, DeStefano "resigned.
