Blue state people, you are going to have to carry us and take

the lead. If you live in a red state, particularly a very red part, it seems insurmountable, for us anyway. The trump slime is so deep and embeded, there is no such thing as truth or logic anymore, it's incredibly hard to see any sunlight. If any red state people have any success stories, please share.

Yes, Atlanta is blue, but the northern part of this State is as red as Alabama! I can't even ut a Dem yard sign up for fear of retaliation. I'm too old now to physically battle that stuff.

I join you in asking all our blue friends to help and we'll do what we can to support you.

Who might be sympathetic and register them? GA is almost a swing state though, right? TX behind but at least turning. Think Beto got so close..and his strategy was to be non-political and just listen to people.

Keep in mind that roughly 100-million people don't vote. They are like a silent, third party and they tend to be more progressive in their views, but have various reasons for not participating.

I think that is a potential gold mine and I kind of wish somebody would run ads with an appeal to them in light of our current, critical situation. This time, it's different. VERY different.

Not become discouraged, disenchanted or give up. But rather, be enflamed, angry and focused to help carry our blue cities across the line! We don't have to win our counties, cities and towns in a GE. We just have to join with our blue cities to win!

Beto almost beat Cruz in Texas. Imagine if 200k more angry Democrats would have made their way to the polls? Then look at all the seats Texas did flip blue. It can be done if we just get off our butts, quit bellyaching about our "Republican neighbors" focus and actually be locally active in the party. Get out the damn vote red state Democrats!

This PSA was brought to you by a fellow red state Democrat.

It's ugly, hard work... I understand that, but your state has success stories from 2018. Let's make sure it has even more in 2020, ok?

affecting opinion. From someone now living in a red state, who we nominate and who their VP makes all the difference in the world. I know this means the Dem masses may have to set aside policy preferences, but it is the only way to win..unless we have a 100% massive, monumental push to drum up votes in urban areas. Enough to counteract where we are weak.

We also send support to red states like Kentucky. That's been a long road. And who knows how much help McC will be enjoying. But we persist from outside that state.

Colorado has been reddish in the past. We just keep putting one foot in front of the other.

plan for the future and think, all I have to do is put up with my boss for 10 more years, then I can retire. Maybe there are GOP politicians like that too. Looking at their retirement plans and thinking...I can handle 4 more years of trump and then I can cash out and go fishing every day.

2018 Blue wave will continue with GOTV and moderates voting for the Dems again!! There will be a lot less Dems who stay home or throw their vote away this year (because Hillary in a landslide and all) AND a lot of independent and never trump GOP's that will either not vote for Trump this time (net 1 vote) or will even vote for the Dem (net 2 votes!!)

UNLESS the election is rigged beyond our wildest dreams and the result is a forgone rigged conclusion.

(I live in deep red state MO so I understand where you are coming from, BUT, my faith is with the people who brought us the 2018 Blue Wave!!)

Sat Jan 25, 2020, 12:56 AM
Jan 2020

Texas Democrats on Tuesday came closer than they have in two decades. But the “blue wave” many had hoped for failed to crest over the state.

For the 20th year running, Republicans swept every statewide election in Texas, soaring to victories in the governor’s mansion, the attorney general’s office and the U.S. Senate, the most closely watched top-of-the-ticket contest. El Paso Democrat Beto O’Rourke lost a hard-fought, nationally watched U.S. Senate race to incumbent Ted Cruz. The margin was just three points — a tighter race than Democrats have achieved in years. And several statewide Republican incumbents were elected by mere single digits.

Should move to the bigger red states (bigger in terms of electoral college vote counts) and help with the push.

Obviously not a practical choice for many but I hear all the time of people leaving red states for blue states when it should be the opposite if you actually want to change things instead of just escape from them.
