Why are Yahoo! Comments so overwhelmingly red as a baboon's ass?

I don’t usually look at them for that reason but I did just now and they’re overwhelmingly proshithead Republicans.

And those comments have the vast majority of upvotes.

Bots, you think?

All of the political comments seem to be trump humpers. Unless like far left stuff I see those are lack of idiots I suppose better moderation?

Washington Post comments, on the other hand, are overwhelmingly against the GOP and their demented manchild of a leader. Try reading those.

news site and it became obvious over time that it was always the same people and always the same material and the only time they showed up was for anti Trump news.. they must be trolls of some sort.

comments will be overwhelmingly anti-Trump with tons of upvotes. That makes me think that there are certain threads that bots haven't gotten to yet. It's very inconsistent. It's something that has always puzzled me about Yahoo. It's not a site I go on often, but sometimes I dip my toe in to sense the mood of the general public.

I did participate on the comment board once because Yahoo is also the homepage of my browser. What I noticed is that there are some openly racist posters who always seemed to show up for some stories, they were grotesquely racist, yet Yahoo did nothing about them. I stopped using comment about 3 years ago and use Yahoo now only as my mail source and my browser, any other activity I take a pass on.

I've had & forgotten several of my email Addy's from there, but a whole bunch of other people have not forgotten them. They still see & use the site as a home page, it has become a RW echo chamber over the last 25 years.

They've been doing that for well over a decade. It's not a big secret. They do this to make it look like they hold the popular opinion. People who don't pay attention, and/or who don't think for themselves, are often easily swayed by this kind of thing.
