... It's the trial of the republican party in the court of public opinion. The verdict will be delivered this November.

Almost everyone agrees there is practically ZERO chance the Republicans will honor their oath of office and oath as jurors. If they actually do, that will be the single largest surprise to Trump since his "winning" the election (Trump most certainly didn't win anything).

Schiff, Pelosi, most of the rest of us, understand the best we can hope for is public backlash against the GOP in November. After the Senate GOP acts like the frightened little babies they are (my apologies to babies) and acquits Trump, he will be emboldened. He will do worse things and he will try to exact revenge.

All we can do is put the spotlight on the rest of the evidence as it leaks and is published. On his future criminal acts. We must not allow him to be re-elected. That will surely be the end of the republic - I'm not just being hyperbolic.

13. It makes me pissed off, having served jury duty last summer...

Given how seriously each of the other jurors and I took our duty during the nearly month long trial, it is infuriating how corrupt and cowardly every one of the republicans in congress are acting in these proceedings. Whatever regard history will have for them, and it will not look on them kindly, will not be nearly scornful enough.

It's a chess game, with only that final checkmate in mind.

He'll have lost the game by default but we'll still be dead.

The evidence and logic can be used to pummel them from now until Election Day.
