Had a late supper, now I feel like 'dropping my lunch'. Flipping thru channels saw tillis yakking.

Caught him naming names saying IOW 'they' Dems wasted time that could've been put to use getting business done. What, like writing hundreds of more legislative bills that sit on turdle's desk and not go anywhere.

['America This Week']

"Tillis questioned why House Democrats needed additional information to support the evidence they already gathered. "Their task is to demonstrate why—if it's so compelling, if it's so overwhelming—why do we need to do anything other than hear the arguments and move on?"

Tillis voted with Republicans on every amendment to postpone the discussion of new witnesses or documents until later in the trial. "Right now I don't see a compelling reason to hear any other witnesses," he told Bolling. Tillis added that if the evidence is as "overwhelming," as House managers described, "present that evidence and have the weight of that evidence determine whether anyone else should be seen."

Tillis argued that because the House impeachment was motivated by partisan politics, Democrats should not be surprised when the Senate treats it similarly. "I view this as a political exercise and it should be no surprise to Schiff and Pelosi and Nadler that we deal with it in that manner," he said of House managers Reps. Adam Schiff, Jerrold Nadler and Speaker Nancy Pelosi.

"Every step of the way, all they are doing is alienating people in North Carolina and the people of the United States are saying, what on earth are you doing?" Tillis continued, saying Democrats were "wasting the time of Congress on this sham impeachment."
