Was Trump's real goal with Ukraine to give it to Russia?

He held back aid even after being told Ukraine wouldn't last thirty seconds without it. They dropped aid to Ukraine from the Republican Platform at the Republican Convention. Was he, again, giving a gift to Putin?

1. That is behind his ambivalence toward the Ukraine

I mean, he is dismissive toward and even actively works against a LOT of things, but as NP said, all roads lead to Russia, it is ALWAYS the touchstone.

He would let them overrun it a heart beat, like pulling out of syria and having them take over our bases there.

2. Definitely. But first get something for himself out of it before he destroyed it.

You know. Like what he did to Atlantic City. And everything else he ever touched.

6. Yes. Because Russia's real goal is to take Ukraine and others.

Ukraine's attempt to join NATO that triggered Russia's invasion back in 2014 moved up the timetable for big military aggression.

7. Could be. And when we soon hear how much(more) he has done - i.e. Javelin missiles, remember...

But while there is evidence that the Javelin sale has been a powerful gesture of support for Kyiv, the missiles’ military application has been far more limited. Under the conditions of the foreign military sale, the Trump administration stipulates that the Javelins must be stored in western Ukraine—hundreds of miles from the battlefield.

“I see these more as symbolic weapons than anything else,” said Samuel Charap, a senior political scientist at Rand Corp. Experts say the conditions of the sale render them useless in the event of a sustained low-level assault—the kind of attack Ukraine is most likely to face from Russia.

Trump’s claim about supplying far more critical military aid to Ukraine than Obama is hyperbolic at best in other ways. The Obama administration did draw criticism for its refusal to approve lethal assistance to Ukraine, including the Javelin missile sale Trump cited. But it did commit to Kyiv more than $600 million in security assistance and equipment, including armored Humvee vehicles, unmanned aerial vehicles, countermortar radars, night vision equipment, and medical supplies.

8. 100% yes, IMO, based on what he's said.

He continues to denigrate Ukraine as a recalcitrant part of Russia. He's said so many times, excusing the Crimea invasion saying it was local people who want to return to Russia and why should we stop them. He will 100% let Russia have Ukraine, promoting loudly whatever pretext PUtin comes up with. He'd do absolutely nothing while Russia invades any country in Euroope - he will say we are out of NATO because of some bs lie. I wonder if he'd even have 2nd thoughts about letting Russia take Alaska back - think PUtin could do anything in the world he wants and his subservient tool would support him out of craven self-interest.

I just wonder after Russia has taken all it wants from Russian Repugs, what does it do then to really hurt us? Think at that point they release all the dirt they have on repugs and TFEE (trump family evil empire) to destroy the ruling party in this country and really fuck us up.
