And you may remember, a while back I spoke about gearing up to take on those companies who fund the propaganda Fox News produces, but wanting to give those companies one more chance to uncouple from Fox before we named names? Well, now with this impeachment and this week’s report from Pew polling showing just how successful Fox has become at keeping their viewers isolated from the reality of the president’s crimes and the miscarriage of justice the republicans in the senate have so far made this impeachment, it’s not only time to name names but it’s also time to be honest about why these companies are intentionally funding the propaganda Fox is crafting.

Others can do boycotts and say I won’t buy their products, but as Cooks we can do so much more. The truth is, as Cooks, we are the hands that feed, we are where caring and goodness live, and we are the voice that speaks out for the difference between right and wrong. Are we really to assume that any of these advertisers do not know what they are funding with their marketing buy? Maybe the pillow guy is a true believer, but at this point it’s probably safe to say the rest of these companies are intentionally funding Fox’s propaganda for the purpose of currying favor with the president and the Republicans in Congress and state houses across the country.

Do companies out to make products that don’t damage the environment, produce good and safe prescription drugs, or sell needed insurance at reasonable costs need special sweetheart Republican laws? I don’t think so. The Pew polling results showing a direct link between the Republicans’ ability to corrupt this impeachment trial and these companies’ funding of Fox is the wake up call we all need.

It’s time to use our voices as Cooks and speak out against each of these companies and the damage they are doing to honest journalism in America. These are the companies whose funds made it possible to corrupt this impeachment trial. We can’t sit by silently as they use their profits and tax cuts to fund the corruption of this year’s elections as well. Please review the list. Think of who you know who make purchases from these companies and start planning out your heart-to-heart talk about better ways for them to spend their money. You are known as a person who cares.
