I wish I could give these traits to all Americans.

Critical thinking, commonsense, insight and curiosity. I have these traits and I know they have made my life better. I know they protect me from becoming a fool and they protect me from self destruction.

When you have these traits it makes it harder for you to be fooled. It makes it harder for you to become a victim of propaganda.

It makes it very hard for you to become a conspiracy theorist. It makes it easier to recognize lies.

These traits cannot protect you from making mistakes all the time. It cannot protect you at all times from being fooled. However, it can help you recognize when you have made a mistake or when you have been fooled. Then you can correct it.
