KOBE BRYANT KILLED IN HELICOPTER CRASH

Kobe Bryant died in a helicoper crash in Calabasas Sunday morning ... TMZ Sports has confirmed.

Kobe was traveling with at least 3 other people in his private helicopter when it went down. A fire broke out. Emergency personnel responded, but nobody on board survived. 5 people are confirmed dead. We're told Vanessa Bryant was not among those on board.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Kobe has famously used a helicopter to travel for years -- dating back to when he played for the Lakers. He was known for commuting from Newport Beach, CA to the STAPLES Center in DTLA in his Sikorsky S-76 chopper.

KB is survived by his wife Vanessa, and their four daughters -- Gianna, Natalia and Bianca and their newborn Capri.

Kobe has recently been spotted out at NBA games with his daughter Gianna -- a rising star basketball player herself. Their youngest daughter, Capri, was just born in June 2019.

Los Angeles County Sheriffs Deputies responded to reports of a helicopter that crashed and then caught fire on a hillside in the Calabasas area Sunday.

The crash, near Las Virgenes Road and Willow Glen Street, was called in at 9:47 a.m., according to City News Service. Authorities said the helicopter was on fire and sparked a quarter acre brush fire. Flames were put out by 10:30 a.m.

Los Angeles County Fire Department confirmed there were no survivors of the crash. It is unknown the exact number of fatalities.

The helicopter that crashed was a Sikorksy S-76B, according to authorities.

Years ago they won tickets to a Lakers game as Sonics fans. They were right behind the Lakers’ bench, my teenaged son cheering for the Sonics. Some players were giving him a joking hard time and Kobe came over, patted him and said “That’s right. You cheer for your team, kid. Cheer for your team.”

Rest In Peace to a man of honor and grace.

And one of the helicopters developed engine problems with Ivanka and Jared aboard but it returned to the ground safely. This is according to a commentator on MSNBC a few minutes ago.

...who reported to police (got dna tested, the whole bit,) that he raped her?

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kobe_Bryant_sexual_assault_case

I'm not saying it's not tragic a man died. I just feel like I'm seeing across-the-board respect, when not adoration, for him here.

I admit I'm not a sports fan, don't follow/worship/fetishize any sports figures regardless of how many championship rings they have.

So okay, I'll be the guy to bring that up.

I believed the girl with the bruises on her neck and Kobe's dna then. Still do now.

Fire away!

I don’t condone at all but I can forgive when it’s earned. If you have to only remember transgressions and can’t accept change you won’t even be able to look in the mirror.
