and thus did not at all embrace him throughout his remarkable career.

That said, it appears he lived a productive life and was an apparently phenomenal father to his daughters and husband to his wife after that period. It is incredibly poignant that he died along with his daughter, Giana, who apparently was a bit of a basketball phenom herself.

May they RIP.
