Dear GOP Senators: If You Vote To NOT Remove Trump From Office, You're Responsible For Everything He

...You're responsible for everything he does from now on.

This is the point we have to hammer home:

If the GOP Senators vote to keep Trump in Office, each and every one of them is responsible for whatever he does from now on.

And the rationalization that "that would be overturning an election" is bullshit.

Many of them are practicing rationalization and cognitive dissonance by saying that removing him would be overturning the results of the 2016 election, and defying the will of the voters.

First, it wouldn't be overturning the results of the election, because the same 62 million people that voted for TRUMP also voted for PENCE. That's exactly the reason we vote for a ticket, rather than an individual.

Second, IMPEACHMENT by the House and REMOVAL by the Senate was put into the Constitution for EXACTLY THIS REASON. The GOP can't invoke their idolatry for the Founders and for the Constitution without acknowledging this fact. The FOUNDERS put those mechanisms into the Constitution for EXACTLY this reason.

In fact, the real reason they'd vote NOT to see evidence of his guilt is because they want to have COVER for not removing him. And the reason they don't want to remove him is not because they want to hold onto power. They can do just as much looting of the public purse, and just as many tax cuts for billionaires under PENCE; only without the insanity. Replacing Trump with Pence would basically be George W. Bush, Version 2.0. The real reason they don't want to remove Trump is because they're scared shitless of Trump's batshit crazy, and heavily armed base. And Trump's base doesn't care about tax cuts for plutocrats. They only care about pissing off liberals. And Trump does that better than Pence ever could.

But it's time for us to apply some pressure from the OTHER side. Meaning, we have to remind them that, up until now they haven't been OFFICIALLY enabling Trump. If they have the chance to swap PENCE for TRUMP, and don't do it...they'll wear that Scarlet Letter forever.

He’s getting off scot free. All we can do now is relentlessly continue to expose this corrupt regime for what it is. That means getting the word out on a steady basis each and every day before the next election in hopes of converting enough independents to vote against him. The only way to beat another rigged election is with a landslide.

When the Senate acquits, the Constitution dies.

GOP Senators will be responsible for the death of the Constitution. Every voting citizen ought to remember that as the election approaches.

Perhaps WORSE for Republicans is the fact that we will witness a full TEN months of Trump's continuing criminal and dictatorial actions before the election, so the idea that Trump is an unfit criminal president will have months of time to get hard-coded into the brains of every voter. This is not good for the worst of all presidents, but he deserves the worst.

and then begin to print a list. End the list with the statement, "Each and every Republican senator is personally responsible for these actions and the consequences which result from them."

It's constitutional. The founders, who were afraid of exactly the kind of foreign interference in an election Trump has committed when they discerned how impeachment and removal would work, sought to provide a way to rectify the results of a tainted election by removing the President who was elected by it. I guess Republicans have forgotten that they tried to do exactly the same thing simply because they didn't like Bill Clinton. Their definition of obstruction has sure changed in 20 some years. The Republican hypocrisy is boundless. They really had almost nothing on Clinton except lying to Congress. Of course, his predecessor, George H.W. Bush, lied to Congress over 70 times in Iran Contra.

So Democrats in states with GOP senators need to heat up the phone lines. Make them feel the pressure and let them know if they don't vote to remove, you will vote to remove them. Democrats won a senate seat in Alabama by getting out the vote and making sure dormant segments of voters got to the polls. This can be done.

They're all guilty for this rolling disaster.

To block Trump, a majority of delegates at the convention would simply have to vote to change their rules, to free themselves up to vote for whichever candidate they want. And then they'd just … nominate someone who's not Donald Trump.

This may seem shockingly undemocratic, but it's completely possible given how the convention works. The delegates get to set their own rules, and no higher body can overrule them. So they're perfectly free to change those rules at the last minute — even if those changes are obviously meant to alter the outcome of the race.

gerrymandering, voter suppression and Repug cheating and stealing of votes - weren't the 2016 election results overturned from a Hillary win.

In my opinion - the 2016 election results were already overturned.

They will have raised the bar for impeachment so high that they might as well remove the clause from the Constitution.

Three million votes for Hillary were invalidated by 70,000 votes for Trump.
