So here comes the painfully obvious, perhaps foolish, yet inevitable impeachment question.

If "Bolton’s manuscript confirms Trump’s bribery of Ukraine," and McConnell sticks to his plan for a quick acquittal in order to appease Trump's demand to make this all go away before Super Bowl, SOTU, what does that mean other than:

1). He gets away with it and gets worse between now and November, which we expected anyway

2). Removing Trump from office will then be solely in the hands of the American voters, and yes, American voters in an election almost guaranteed to have more Russian meddling, which we expected anyway

Did I miss anything?

...because yes, it's always been the voters, and in my mind, unless the Bolton thing is "explosive" with them, it's more like a fourth of July firework that fizzles and burns out.

My prediction is that not only will Republicans NOT vote for witnesses and evidence, they will probably vote FOR a McConnell resolution to table a vote for witnesses and evidence.

I always assumed that there wasn't anything Trump could have done that would lead these clowns to get rid of him. Every new allegation is met with a shrug.

I used to wonder where the line was. I'm not sure now that there even is a line.

As for the voters, I'd like to believe that enough of them are paying attention to make a difference, but I'm not sure that's the case. That being said, I think anti-Trump sentiment was already very prevalent and 2018's momentum can carry over to 2020 if we can focus on the right things and generate turnout similar to '18.

I feel like enough people are tired of him (or outright hate him) that his loss should be in the bag, but who knows. I look at my country a bit differently now for having elected him.

that the republican majority senate acquit Trump as fast as possible. Why ? Because of fear, the fear of total exposure . Total exposure could very well lead to de certifying {over turning} 2016 the election . It is [possible. Possible through exposure . It's all in the materials, the very materials the gop is fighting tooth and nail to keep out of the hands of investigators. So what do Trump lawyers do, they get out in front of it by proclaiming the democrats want to over turn the election, so yea, they work for Trump. And that is just what Trump fears.
TOTAL EXPOSURE.

From the Mueller report on. Trump needs to be voted out. He always needed to be voted out. Americans need to use the amazing power they have, it remains, despite the attacks on it. Nearly Half the country doesn’t bother. I hope we can change this

Mueller, Wray, Comey, Coats told us UNDER OATH the election is rigged "as we sit here"

...and the rigging is laughably easy.

All it takes is "botching" several states tallies, with subsequent referral to SCOTUS for resolution.

The End.

Simply can't rely on the election. Must stop him now.

Sure, just get rid of him. Easy, right? The problem is that unless you have something up your sleeve that no one else knows about, November is the only realistic solution. It always was. All of this nonsense with the GOP was completely predictable.

If not the election, how?

Sorry, but I'm not buying the pessimistic, nothing-matters nonsense. We won nearly every open race in 2018 and November is the *only* chance we have of getting rid of Trump. It always was.

Got a better idea? Let's hear it.

Right, nothing.

Here's an idea. Instead of assuming it's impossible and trying to dissuade others from making an effort, do something productive like volunteer to register voters, offer rides to the polls, make calls for Democrats at all levels, etc.

Defeatism accomplishes nothing.

I am not a defeatist when I say that Trump must be stopped prior to the election.

Your position is to wait for the option that is already declared by the four top officials in the country as ALREADY RIGGED. Why would you want to wait for that last option? There's nothing after that to save us. Nothing.

There are actions that need support RIGHT NOW. Are you taking any? What do you support?

And why are you so mad? Geez.
