Money can buy me everything that makes me happy.

Money can't buy health, but it sure as hell can buy happiness, peace of mind,

and a sense of well being.

to give it away. the act of giving is what makes people happiest.

but it's damn hard to find people willing to take up that proposition....

The reason I stated money can buy me happiness is as follows:

A roof over my head.

Food in my belly.

A dependable source of income to pay my expenses: electric, phone, internet,

insurance etc.

Availability of health care; including dental, eye, and hearing aids.

The ability to keep and maintain my home.

Those are the things money can buy and that makes me happy.

Happiness:

When I have extra anything; (groceries, clothes, or one time a car) I give them away.

There are never any strings attached, and I never expect or want to be paid back.

I occasionally play the lottery and dream.

I have a list of all the people and charities I will give to.

I will keep enough to never worry about being homeless, hungry, or in need of health care.

As I said, money can buy happiness.

there are other underestimated things like comfort, food security, shelter security, health, etc.

researchers tend to draw a distinction between "happiness" and these other more mundane things. generally speaking, eating for sustenance doesn't make people "happy", it merely brings them up from unhappy to neutral. eating an unusually good meal or a treat is what makes people happy.

but that doesn't mean eating for sustenance isn't important. obviously, if you don't have basic food security, it's tremendously important!

good connections with people you love and who love you are far more important for "happiness". people in poverty with good friends and family can be much happier than rich people who can't connect with other people. though to your point, the rich person is certainly going to be more comfortable and secure....

I'm falling asleep listening to this Repub in a purple tie. His job is to bore us to death on the subject of "fairness." This joke revived me. TY.
