I've voted for Barack Obama in 2004 and 2008 (I'm from Illinois) and I'll be proud to vote for him again.

(2,787 posts)It has always been my position he will win this, because he must. If by some disaster Romney were to win, and the republicans win the senate we will not only be harmed by wing nut policies for the next 4 years, but maybe the next 40 years. Here is why.
They will appoint more conservative judges to already right wing court.
Citizen United will be the law of the land forever.
Roe Vs Wade will be overturned.
You can forget about marriage equality.
They will kill the filibuster, and the Affordable Care Act will be repealed.
Medicare, and Social Security will be destroyed.
The war on workers will continue until they reach their end. Which is no collective bargaining rights for any workers in the public or private sector.
They will continue their voter suppression. And I am sure there is some nasty stuff they plan to do to us I missed.
I know every 4 years they tell us that this is the most important election of our lifetime, but this time it truly is.
No one can afford not to get off their behinds, and vote this time.
