OK, modern conventions are 100% staged theatrics, and there's never any real drama.

But I must say, it ws just so expertly put together, cohesive, each and every speaker carefully chosen and speech on topic and well crafted. It was a thing of beauty.
I think in the future when people talk about conventions, this will be the one they point to as an example of what a convention SHOULD be, the one that all others will be judged by.

So yes, from my perspective, best ever.
Well, ETA: I could h ave done without Villaraigosa. He's my mayor and I simply can't stand him. I don't dislike his policies but his demeanor and personality and philandering makes me want to hurl.
