Just got back from a watch party for Obama-Biden in Kansas City tonight!

A beautiful, diverse crowd! All ages, including a couple of toddlers. Of course, there was a diversity of races. There were young people wearing "Born This Way" t-shirts identifying them as LGBT.

This crowd was really fired up. People came out of their seats for Jill and Joe Biden and Barak. The applause for Barak Obama was almost continuous!

Talk about energy; I was tired just listening to the speeches.

Just as importantly, we were signing up people to work phone banks and voter registration for the coming weekend.

Fired up? Ready to go? Then sign up to work your local campaign!

The crowd included disabled (or differently abled) people: A young man in a wheelchair and a young woman with a missing leg, walking on crutches.

There was a young woman who collapsed right after Barak's speech. Fortunately, there were people around her who understood seizures, and they were caring for her. One of the toddlers I mentioned was hovering over her with concern, like "Are you OK lady?" I wouldn't say that no Republicans are capable of that sort of caring; but, I think caring defines us as Democrats.
