Is there anyone here that regrets Nancy and the Democrats impeaching Donald J Trump?

I do not!

I absolutely believe they did the right thing. Nobody knows where we go from here but I am glad there were courageous Americans willing to take a stand against lies and criminality.

History, I am certain, will show that impeachment was the correct vote. A vote against witnesses will not be rewarded by the voters.

Tomorrow should be dramatic and historic.

She knows her politics, she can count votes with the best of them, and she has a shrewd understanding of what the American public really is about.

I don't think she's made a lot of mistakes in the last 12 months. Hard to believe it's only been 12 months since Dems took the House. Hopefully it's only 11 months until they take the Senate and depose the mango who would be king.

I don't know if the damage shitforbrains has done will be undone by the impeachment process or by whatever follows.

It has to happen, though.

1) You would have Trump crowing that Dems didn't have anything to impeach him over because he's innocent

2) The Democratic base would be dispirited because Dems were too scared to move forward with impeachment

If we lose on 11/4/20, then it was already lost and impeachment will have nothing to do with the loss. That is, it was already baked in and we actually lost it in 2016.

It was the required constitutional course of action.

Keep investigating and attempting to safeguard the separation of powers and rule of law, regardless of what the Senate does.

and not acting at all would mean the constitution is null and void, something the current crop of Robber Barons would love.

They are already trying to force a new constitutional convention and I sincerely doubt we the people would do well under any of their "reforms."

That the most corrupt bunch of politicians the world has ever seen would vote to retain the disaster in office was a foregone conclusion. We have to hope that enough people wake up to who and what they are in 2020 to start the process of getting rid of the lawless and overturning their bullshit.

(Yes, I'm well aware of court intrigues and corruption in the past. We have a gang that wants to recreate them in the present. That's a lot worse, IMO)

This is a far stronger impeachment charge than what we would have otherwise put forward. Nancy Pelosi's political acumen has no parallel.

For me a feeling of relief that our side has the courage to do the right thing. They simply have to keep lying, bully, and provide distractions. The home of the brave is with us. FWIW
