Not on NPR, but from someone else. I believe it was a guest on Rachel Maddow's show last night although I don't remember who said it - might have been Chuck Schumer himself. The person said it would take several weeks to prepare and get Bolton in to testify.

They absolutely need to make sure the trial is over by next Monday, so Cheeotlini can turn the SOTU into a victory lap for himself and, by extension, for them and their whole party.

I have no doubt McConnell will manage to convince precisely 50 senators to hold the line. That'll allow Mittens, Collins, and Murkowski to "vote their conscience" and still squelch Bolton's testimony.

Hard to say how much, but if the earlier witnesses start spurring others into action, it's hard to tell.

First you have to vote to issue a suboena, then serve it, then allow a reasonable time for any witness to confer with counsel, maybe go to court to block it, etc.
