GOP confident of win on witnesses VS McConnell tells Republican senators he does not have the votes

The Hill news completely contradicts the Washington Post.

Jan. 28, 2020 at 8:07 p.m. EST
Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) indicated in a closed-door meeting with Senate Republicans that he did not yet have enough votes to defeat an effort, expected later this week, to call additional witnesses and evidence in the trial.

Republican senators emerged from a caucus meeting Tuesday voicing confidence they will win a vote later this week that would block new witnesses from being called and end President Trump’s impeachment trial this week.

The Hill has a well-known history of Right-leaning partisanship.

The Hill reports what they said to the press after leaving the session.

I'd bet it's Republicans lying to spin the news.

So both could be accurate.
