Lawrence O'Donnell: The next two days will involve setting the dogs loose

I'm paraphrasing on the "McConnell doesn't have the votes" thing. He said that the next two days will be attack dogs Hannity, Limbaugh, etc, stoking the flames of fear in Trump's base and the GOP over what will happen if Mitch doesn't get the votes to squash a witness vote.

You should have a much clearer picture of where we stand in the November 2020 fight when we get to that vote.

and I wish them all great anxiety, but I'd like to hear more about how excited those who listen to Rush etc get will tell us more about where we will be in November. Only what's happening then, among independents especially, would seem to matter. And that's 9 months of trumpster fires away, assuming he isn't removed.

A neighbor who's so RW I don't discuss politics with her (very seldom see her because of her dislike for me/liberals and mine for her) was talking politics today. Badmouthing Trump as part of going on and on about her own life of achievements and hard work, admirable children and so on, all of it seemingly some kind of defense of her values in spite of him as near as I could surmise. I just expressed interest in her children's achievements and didn't ask how/if she'd vote, but it was a huge change from her radiating triumphant hostility last time we talked.
