A line that snaked back and forth outside the Wildwoods Convention Center continued to grow early Tuesday as hundreds and hundreds of people from across New Jersey and other states joined to stand in the biting Jersey Shore cold for hours for a chance to see President Donald Trump.

Bundled up in sleeping bags, hats and gloves, and sitting on folding chairs many of them planned to toss later, the crowd — which started to form Sunday afternoon — quickly grew to a few thousand people trying to be among those admitted inside to see Trump speak tonight.

Only about 7,500 people are expected to be admitted inside this afternoon for Trump’s 7 p.m. speech.

By 11:30 a.m., at least 2,500 people were in line behind white barricades set up in the convention center parking lot. Thousands more were waiting to get into the parking lot in a line that stretched two blocks down Ocean Avenue and continued around a corner and across a street into a park, where the line snaked back and forth through a field.

I have a small lightweight tri pod seat w/bag and strap. Very convenient to take with me to events, the fair, etc... Easily fits under stadium seating. I don't understand why the event organizers don't ban the larger chairs and only allow the kind that can fit under stadium seating. Discourage plastic except recyclable and have bins for people to put the recyclables into upon entering. Notice there are never trash bins around either? There are always mountains of trash left behind at events, in part because of shoddy event planners and just pure laziness of the public. Stricter guidelines, and proper bins would definitely help.

This is very telling about their general attitude about work, life and the planet.

This is America.

Years ago I worked with a man who would throw his garbage out his truck window. I confronted him about it telling him there was no way he loved his country by littering, he replied back that the garbage bags are now fast decomposing ones. I told him that was no excuse for thrashing our country.

He would probably be a trumpster, he was a very willful ignorant person.

when Cindy Sheehan was still in the ditches and hauled trash to the dump for them. It never looked like this, no trash at all laying around and they were there for a very long time compared to this AND people were living there. The next site with the big tent was as organized as could be. If there was trash anywhere I never saw it or there was always someone picking it up. I worked in the kitchen at the second camp for a while the few days I was there that time and we recycled and composted. Started the first day they were there. These people that left this mess do not care about one other thing than their rights, junking up your spaces means nothing to them. Pigs.

BLOOMINGTON — People going to the Donald Trump rally on Sunday drove over graves and headstones and tore up turf when parking in East Lawn Memorial Gardens, according to residents with loved ones buried there.

“Headstones were broken out there,” Twyford said. “Throughout the day, we kept seeing and hearing reports from the cemetery, and it just kept getting worse and worse and worse. It just shows that some people had a total disrespect for the graves and they need to be prosecuted.”

Bloomington police said they took several reports Sunday about the damage.

Members of Bloomington Firefighters Union Local 49 and Normal Firefighters Local 2442 were at the cemetery helping to repair some of the damage, said Bloomington firefighter Michael Hartwig.

This is why they are fine with trump dumping in our streams, oceans and air. The planet is one big ass dump to them. I live in beautiful rural WNC and this is every backroad and stream. I pass a house on my way to my daughter, trash stacked outside up to the Windows on all 4 sides, proudly flying a Trump 2020 flag, 8 feet long, for the last 2 years. Inside city limits of Clyde, N.C. MAGA!

The right posted similar criticisms of events like the women's March. They particularly made a big deal about messes post events like Earth Day and other environmental events. This is why you have to get permits and pay fees - for post event cleanup.

This is only meaningful if the per capita mess level can be shown to be greater or if (and this is VERY likely) Trump stiffed the city on the cleanup fees.

Donald Trump has raised record amounts of money as a presidential candidate. But he’s still left a slew of unpaid bills in his wake.

In city after city, across the nation, Trump has failed to pay local officials who provide thousands of dollars’ worth of security assistance to the president’s campaign during his Make America Great Again rallies.

In total, at least 10 cities have complained that the campaign has not reimbursed them for services provided by local police and fire departments, totaling more than $840,000, according to a study by the Center for Public Integrity in June.

Minneapolis may find itself next on the list after the president picked a fight with the city’s mayor on Tuesday.

I think it's important to call out their disgusting evilness in ways they can't counter with credible demonstrations that our side did the same - or even "normal" conservatives did the same. Trump and his MAGAts probably did make a worse mess than we would have and he probably will stiff the city for the costs - that's what needs to be the story.
