The Republicans are literally telling us to take the constitution and shove it up our asses.

Three years of living in disbelief, three years of dealing with lies and absolute corruption. It just keeps going and getting worse day after day. It's one thing to cover up a crime, it entirely something else too openly, proudly, cover up a crime that could destroy our democracy.

I don't know when or how this nightmare will end, however, I can fairly say it will end badly.

Our last line of defense is the election. If things don't change then, we will be screwed.

I can understand someone trying to hide corruptive acts. I cannot fathom a whole party doing it so blatantly and proudly.

they all used to carry around and wave at a moment’s notice. You may have figured it out.

The unitary executive and the judicial. There used to be a co-equal branch of government called "Congress," which served as a check on the Executive, but that will be replaced by some guys who get together in the Capitol to vote to give the president whatever he wants. With Trump's "nobody talks to Congress without my permission" rule winning the day, no hearings can be held, and congressional oversight will be over.

That's going to be one of the real consequences of the impeachment. Mob rule replaces the rule of law.
