Would it have been too difficult to prove?
Or would it simply sound too unreal?
In my opinion, the evidence is there, The withdrawal of troops from Syria put them and our allies in harm's way from enemy forces.
Standing on a stage in Helsinki and denouncing American intelligence and favoring Vladimir Putin was a treasonous act.
Just as were his public statements denouncing our NATO allies to the benefit of Putin and Russia.
Also, his close alliances and deals with dictators that were not in the interest of the US.
He has betrayed our country in many ways and the Articles of Impeachment
only touch the tip of the iceberg with this Russian asset.

But we have been at war unofficially with all of the above, some may argue?

(29,205 posts)would be very difficult to prove... and, technically, I don't think Trump is even guilty of it. We are not in a declared war with anyone.
Treason, the concept, sure thing... he is a treasonous bastard.

(1,115 posts)It would have to be argued that Russia declared cyber war on us and that Trump contributed to that. Would be a stretch, though.
Bribery should have been a third charge, though. He attempted to bribe Zelensky.

(15,751 posts)trial. manafort was probably guilty of a ton of crimes.
However, the first trial of manafort was limited to a few black and white offenses, simple to understand. The prosecution won despite a hostile 'con judge, and a fighting trumpster who got on the jury.
Having established a big win, manafort caved before a 2nd trial.
