Every time he tosses an argument at the cameras, it's more bizarre than his previous one.
My guess is that if Trump ate a live baby on 5th Avenue, Dershowitz would argue that the Constitution doesn't mention live babies, 5th Avenue, or presidential menu choices.
At one time, Dershowitz was "a respected Harvard law professor." Some still refer to him as "The Liberal Harvard Professor."
Let me be as clear as possible about this. IMO, Dershowitz crashed through "crazy, insane, and out of his fucking mind," into a new universe of mental disorders/diseases. Yet, no one has dropped a straight jacket on him, or tried to tranquilize him, or anything like that. Yet.
If Dershowitz's crazed concepts of Constitutional reality help Trump get off, no president will ever be removed from office for any reason whatever. So when some future president is caught on film raping and strangling a nun, I guess that will be something not mentioned in the Constitution, and that president will continue in office, -- with live babies being part of the White House menu.
"A world gone mad," doesn't seem to cover the bugshit insanity of the moment.

Russia will probably perform a clandestine document dump, to destroy Trump and all of Trump's stooges.
They will paint these Republicans and some Dems as a bunch of crooks and pedos to tear down democracy.

(102,292 posts)it seems to me that he's looked at like the crazy uncle in the attic nowadays and are increasingly just mocking him (or worse for Dersh, ignoring him totally as a "given" that his arguments are without merit). He's really destroyed any reputation he ever had.

He is not "insane." But he is suffering from a severe personality disorder. As he ages, this comes more to the surface, and we see his essence on full display.
He's corrupt.
Did he cash his check, did it bounce? If it does will he change his tune?

(205 posts)Or America as it relates to the rest of us. None of them are drunk or crazy and they know exactly what they're doing. What's worse is that they are getting away with destroying this country. I'm not so sure November will matter at all.

(15,041 posts)are, once again, trying to steal an election. (Not just the presidency, but the Senate.) And, given the history of the past few decades, they might succeed. If they hold the White House (and the Senate) that will be the end of American democracy.
I find it incredible that millions of Americans can't see this or even grasp the concept of how just how fucked up we are. And how much worse it can get.

(10,831 posts)Maybe by Epstein's dirty trove of 'clients' and friends who benefited from extreme privacy and silence regarding the upper crust's penchant for exotic and illegal sexual tastes. Dershowitz is at the end of career and doesn't want his reputation completely upended with legal repercussions and accountability. His statement that when he had massages he always kept his underwear on is beyond ludicrous. Just an old man's excuse to avoid looking like a dirty old man.
Pathetic and sickening. As are all Trump's supporters.

I've never been a big fan of term limits but I'm definitely changing my mind. This rot has to be excised one way or the other. We either vote them out or they're forced to leave by new regulation. This simply can't go on if we want a functioning government.

If everyday people around the globe are constantly fed a head-spinning dose of daily bullshit and lies, we lose our ability to know true right from wrong - but most especially our will to fight what's wrong.

(36,827 posts)No less than 8 years after he had defended Epstein for pimping out children for massages to his friends.
Then he expects everyone to believe nothing improper happened.
I get that everyone is entitled to legal defense, but Epstein palled around with Dershowitz for years after Dershowitz knew he was a child rapist and trafficker. Theres just no way hes ever going to wash that filth off.
