With Alan Dershowitz, it seems the law is whatever you can get away with?

At least, that's my impression.

He seems to have a counter-prevailing argument to matters such as "quid pro quos". And he seems to believe if a president does something, and he says it is for the good of the country, then it cannot be illegal or even, inappropriate. For example, if he gets help from another country in creating false rumors about one of his opponents, then there is nothing wrong with that.

Dershowitz might confess? The law is whatever you can get away with? I wish he could speak with more clarity. His arguments need to be examined.

...this is someone who went to Epstein's for a "massage" from underage girls! Anything he has to say is rubbish to me.

Yes he is a pedophile and got caught Lolita style. What does he have to worry about in decade or so he will be dead? It would be nice if it were in prison.

The Law is flexible and should be ready to meld to the contemporary Society. But not where it loses its meaning.

.. and that the President is, in effect, a king. You could even use that argument that the President could cancel elections to remain in power if he “thought” it to be in the nation’s best interests.

Positively stunning.

He and he alone is why everything happens. The country has never been greater simply because him. Without him we are nothing. All that went before him were inferior.

He really believes that and by Dershbags reckoning keep himself in place is THE national interest.

I worked at a defense law firm. I remember lawyers sitting around after hours with a cocktail or two....and just making stuff up regarding a defense strategy and seeing if it worked with the other attorneys. Nothing about the actual truth, just seeing if someone might believe it. This reminds me of those days.
