It would be humiliating for the Democrats to hold the State of the Union address.

Can you imagine the Democrats sitting there as Trump walks in and the Republicans stand up and cheer, after committing the greatest cover up in our history.

Can you imagine the Democrats sitting there as Trump insults them and rubs their noses in it.

Fuck that, I hope they un-invite Trump to come to their House.

But I think the republicans would grab on that and say the Dems are cowards, they don’t want to face him. Walking out on him would be more disrespectful in my opinion.

It might be hard for him to show up in front of the people who exposed him so completely. I’d be in favor of them showing up and sitting silently, especially when he makes his grand entrance.

Make sure they have a prominent spot in the middle where he can't help but see them. Maybe several clusters placed where they will always be in his line of sight.

Part of me thinks that if no witnesses/no documents are allowed in the Senate trial that it might be time for such a protest. I do worry about pissing off swing voters. But honestly, if a protest by Democrats against a Republican cover up pisses off a voter, they probably weren't going to vote for him anyway.

Maybe not showing up is better than a walk out. Hold a press conference to explain why they won't participate in the state of the union while also reviewing Trump's actions.

Each of the Democrats' seats should have a copy of the constitution placed on them, in remembrance of a great document.

She extended the invite; she knew this was the likely situation the Dems would face at the SOTU.

He's going to be advised to behave in a manner becoming the office, to appear reasonable and conciliatory, but he can't. He's the worst person in the world.

He's going to overstep. The act has worn thin, and most Americans haven't seen him speak at length in any setting for an entire year - just helicopter zingers and clips from rally rants.

It's not going to go well. She'll be in every shot, throwing epic shade.

Monday morning announcement that the House Judiciary Committee is opening impeachment inquires into Trumps violation of Article 1, Section 9 of the Constitution. He'll fuckin' explode!
