the new GOP precedent...

Its now 2021. after a sweeping democratic victory in the november election president sanders (or warren or biden etc) issues an executive order banning the sale or possesion of ar-15 type rifles.

the NRA immediately goes to court to get the ban blocked.

president sanders ignores the courts and starts confiscating teh guns anyway

since the GOP is establishing that the president can act like a monarch whats to stop him...

remember one big obstical for a Democratic president, most of the courts are controlled by Trumpists with little or no knowledge of laws, morals, good intentions, and the Constitution.

I can see, even if Trump loses (he won't), will still run the Trumpist Party and its elected officials.

All Sanders or Warren or Biden needs to say is that confiscating AR15's will help with his or her reelection, right?
