Florida man, "obsessed" with Fox & GOP, threatens to kill liberal girlfriend.

His liberal girlfriend, having enough of his teabaggerism, threw him out of the apartment they shared so he went off the deep end, making open threats to the police about his intentions to kill her. After examining evidence at the woman's apartment police discovered the man is obsessed with Fox News and the Republican party and "may be a danger to others". He is held without bond.

Is this is the net result of being "Hannitized"?

A Lake Park man “obsessed with Fox News and the Republican party” is in jail today after he allegedly said that he felt he was going to have to kill his girlfriend because she was a “liberal.”

David A. Kappheim, 60, is being held at the Palm Beach County Jail without bail. He was arrested Tuesday and the arresting Palm Beach County Sheriff’s deputy placed Kappheim under a Baker Act. Kappheim is facing charges of domestic battery, aggravated assault and criminal mischief.

When Kappheim was approached by the arresting deputy, he said “he was very conservative and (his girlfriend) was a liberal.” He also told the deputy that “he felt that he was going to have to kill her,” the report said.

Kappheim also admitted to trying to kill his girlfriend three times, the deputy said. When he was placed in handcuffs, he allegedly had a panic attack and kicked the sheriff’s car’s rear door so hard it was knocked out of its alignment.

1. I don't think I could ever be with someone who was extremely Conservative

I once went on a couple of dates with a girl who was a practicing catholic and I was worried she would be. She turned out to be pretty liberal except on the issue of abortion but she has a reason for it other then "God said it was bad". I have enough trouble not fighting with my right wing family, I don't know how seeing someone all the time or living with someone like that would be possible.

this is far more widespread than anyone here would like to believe. They want us dead, and our typical response to pummel them with "Shame on you"'s.

Homophobes, bigots, anti-women, racists, anti-Muslim, anti-education, anti-science....got a personal hatred? The Republican party embraces you. It's a party of personal social grievances with no clue or ideas on how to fix anything in this country. Because any solution necessarily involves an act of socialism. They are truly an anti-democratic institution today...their rigging of their own nomination and the active legislative treason to limit voter participation simply underscores this. A party becoming very, very dangerous to a free people.

I fairness, the reason he tried to kill girlfriend probably has more to do with rejection than political differences, but the fact that police found documents leading them to believe he was "a danger to others" puts him squarely into the niche you describe.

We don't know what "documents" the girlfriend showed them, but it's clear he thinks liberals are a menace and he has to act on behalf of his country. That's the underlying theme of many Fox evening shows, especially Sean Hannity.

I hope they keep this guy on ice until he can be analyzed and/or incarcerated. It'd be tragic if they spring him and he seeks deadly revenge.

Good thing the guy wasn't carrying a protest sign or smoking a joint when they picked him up.
