FYI---Try not to post full blog pieces by bloggers, etc.

For instance--some like to post a whole piece by the Rude Pundit.

Now it may not be a copyright issue--- BUT---pundits like the Rude Pundit still generate advertising opportunities by the amount of clicks to their sites.

So treat it like it's a copyright issue and you will be supporting sites like RP.

It came up as a copyright issue on DU2, among mods and admin.

If a full article is posted and the author or artist explicitly allows it with a creative commons license or similar permission, then maybe a full excerpt brings more readers to a site looking for more work of a similar quality.

When I read short excerpts I'm never sure if it's worth the bother of clicking out. Too many times an excerpt is like the trailer for a really bad movie -- it only shows the good parts of something that is wretched and not worth bothering with.

Worse is clicking an excerpt and finding the article split across multiple pages full of animated advertisements that take forever to load.
