And a con man.

Being lied to is a form of being insulted, disrespected. Apparently Republican voters enjoy that. Go figure.

I think you'll enjoy this: Trump’s Elements of Style
by Kathryn Petras and Ross Petras

Strunk Rule: Omit needless words
Trump Rule: No word is needless. They’re all great! Terrific! They’re fantastic words! I know about fantastic words!

On Day One, we will begin working on an impenetrable, physical, tall, powerful, beautiful southern border wall. We will use the best technology, including above- and below-ground sensors. That’s the tunnels. Remember that. Above and below. Above- and below-ground sensors, towers, aerial surveillance and manpower to supplement the wall, find and dislocate tunnels and keep out criminal cartels and Mexico, you know that, will work with us.

When I worked at the AP, the William Strunk & E. B. White guidelines in “The Elements of Style” were kept prominently in mind. Every now and then you’d hear someone invoke “Strunk ‘n’ White” when discussing what had been written in some story, or was going to be written in some story.

That’s something important to do, btw.

One of these days, just for the heck of it, put your resume together again. With the longer view you may very well have now. There’s this new favorite expression I’ve noticed speakers and talking heads and analysts and analytical people using: “when you look at it from 30-thousand feet...”

When you take that longer view of your life, you just might wind up feeling pretty doggone good about what you were able to accomplish. Whether it’s professionally, personally, or a combination of both, or something completely separate. Put a quickie sample resume together. See what you did, where you went, who you were. It just might perk you up!

Sounds fun too and I think that is true, when we look back objectively the longer view encompasses a whole life. Not a bad idea at all.

And it doesn’t have to be all-career, either.

These are the very points we should be making in our ads every day between now and the election. Thank you Reverend Barber!
