Republicans are raising the alarm that Mitt Romney following his conscience and taking his oath to God seriously could lead to the ruin of the GOPs current policies.
What next?, asked one Republican senator. Speaking the truth? Honouring oaths of office? Actually looking at facts?
Romney is being excoriated by party colleagues who fear the idea of having a conscience could start a trend. Said another GOP office-holder: Weve worked tirelessly for three years now to rid the party of truth-tellers and fact-seekers. And now this nobody from Utah comes along and tries to destroy everything weve worked for.
After building our party upon a strong foundation of ignoring the truth, accepting lies as fact, excusing corruption, and turning a blind eye to the undermining of the Constitution and the rule of law, we Republicans will not tolerate those who think for themselves.
Republicans who feel they are susceptible to developing a conscience have been urged to seek counselling immediately. Its a slippery slope, opined one GOP leader. It starts innocently enough. But before you know it, you stop believing the lies and the fact-less propaganda at which point you can no longer claim to be a member of the party.
Many Republicans balked at the notion that Mitt Romney was once a GOP presidential candidate, dismissing the idea as fake news.

They'd never admit any of this, but if all of a sudden they actually told the truth, this is what they'd tell.

(12,549 posts)What a concept. Funny shit, and unfortunately as close to the truth as anything else you'll read. Mitch told everyone it was going to be predetermined.

(43,311 posts)Nazi Germany thrived on brutality enabled by lies. No one dared question. And Social Darwinism is part of that - the triumph of the strong over the weak. Take this seriously. It's now getting bigger than Donald Trump.

(16,940 posts)How could you stand to be in that smoke-filled room when you heard that gang of old, white conniving SOB's reviewing the misdeeds of Brother Mitt and not suffer gut-retching convulsions?
While I certainly appreciate your efforts to "keep your ear to the ground" I'm always worried that you're gonna' get trampled by the "elephant" or that big orange thingie!
Thank you for being out there on the front line for us!

Isn't that the truth.

Bloomberg is starting the ball rolling by using Trumps own words compared to former Democratic Presidents.
I would add that wind blown bronze picture to the Ad.
