when was the last time a Republican presidential candidate

won the presidential election with out cheating.

Here's my take:

1956 Eisenhower: clean win

1968 Nixon dirty: got Anna Chenault and Kissinger to wreck the peace talks

1972 Nixon dirty: Watergate

1980 Reagan dirty: stole briefing book from Carter campaign

1988 Bush I dirty: numerous violations plus Willie Horton ad

2000 Bush II dirty: Had Republican Supreme stop vote count and hand him the presidency

2004 Bush II dirty: Ohio is still disputed thank you Karl Rove

2016 trump dirty: Russian interference

Mondale, who ran a liberal campaign, got beaten by 18%. I wouldn't necessarily call it a clean campaign, but I don't know of a scenario where Mondale wins that one.

Fucking Reagan won in '80 because he made a deal with the Iranian government. This is known as the "October Surpise"

Pretty clearly documented ...

Bush II clearly won by suppressing the vote before the issue of a recount even raised it's head.

We have all known this but the way you put this down makes it really obvious to even those who did not live through these. Eisenhower was during my childhood so I remember nothing but these others, wow. They are this and so much more.

Really nice post, it puts things right where they belong without question.
